This game is so attractive. Like, we would not even care if the gameplay was terrible simply based upon how brilliant this slot looks. We are not 100% sure what the overarching theme is but, honestly, the game made us realise something about ourselves; if a game has a red panda in a cute little outfit, it is alright in our books. The game is based around animals from the far-east and most of them are wonderfully drawn. We did not really expect anything less from NetEnt, though!

We shudder as we say this (we are desktop game purists), but the mobile version of The Legend of Shangri-La is even better than the desktop version. It becomes even better looking and there seems to be a lot more going on when you play the game. It is a wonderful experience. Again, something that we really did expect from the team at NetEnt.

While there are several features in the game, this is something that we do expect that new players should have no issues jumping into. It is not even going to be a stepping-stone game to something greater. It is going to be an awesome game that you will play repeatedly.

• Cluster Pays: if a symbol is touching at least 8 other symbols, in any direction, it forms a cluster. A winning cluster needs to have 9 symbols or more. Easier to get than you think.
• Mystery Symbol: the cool little red panda will put these on the reels whenever you love him enough (or whenever he feels like it). They transform into any adjacent symbol. They will always transform into whatever symbol is needed to form the best possible winning combination.
• Stacked symbols: animals become stacked.
• Random Monk Feature: really takes multiple forms. The monk will cast a spell. Symbols will be substituted. You will get a free respin or the reels will be nudged.
• Free Spins: you can get up to 8 free spins on the reels (minimum 5) dependent on how many scatter symbols you get. It may not seem like a lot, but the red panda will constantly be tossing the substitution symbols onto the reels which is nice. Although, an ice dragon (for some reason. Seriously. We wish we knew the plot), comes and destroys some of those symbols on occasion.
